Courtney King practices employment law as an associate attorney with Ice Miller LLP in Indianapolis. In addition to advising employers, Courtney King represents them in disputes, litigation, and other proceedings in court and with government agencies. Before becoming an employment lawyer, King worked as a public defender for Marion County Indiana and provided representation to indigent defendants.
King attended the University of Louisville for both her bachelor of science and her juris doctor. Before entering law school, she worked as a supervisor at Humana, Inc.’s Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Processing Unit in Louisville, managing a team of 27 subject-matter experts in Medicare Advantage. After graduating cum laude from the university’s Brandeis School of Law, she spent several months as a domestic-violence intake-center triage specialist at the Jefferson County Attorney’s Office in Louisville, helping assess complaints of domestic abuse.
King belongs to the National Bar Association and holds an academy fellowship with the National Employment Law Council. She also serves on the board of directors of AYS, Inc. (formerly At-Your-School Child Services).
